SYMPTOM(s):
Getting error 2659 in the WebSpeed Server log file
Error Disconnect from server; database is being shutdown. (2659)
WebSpeed Transaction Server is on Windows 2000 and the Database is on the Linux machine
Run scripts on Windows 2000 to shutdown the WebSpeed Transaction Server at 11:55 PM and restart the WebSpeed broker at 12:45 AM. Also Run two separate scripts on Linux machine at 12:00 AM to bring the database down and at 12:30 AM to restart the database.
The Linux server is a new machine and the system time is about 40 minutes less then the current time. Therefore, the script to stop the database runs about 40 minutes earlier, hence, the WebSpeed agents get disconnected from the database.
CAUSE:
The time is not synchronized between WebSpeed Transaction Server and the Database server.
FIX:
Fix the system time in the database server.
