Debugging ODBC Issues
Questions that need to be answered when debugging ODBC issues:
1) What are the error messages you are receiving?
2) What version of Progress are you using?
3) What are the dates/sizes of files?
4) Does the ODBC Quick Test work for you?
5) Where is your progress.ini file? Should be in windows/system dir
6) Is DLC defined at the OS and in Progress.ini files?
7) Where is the database - Is the path where it is located defined
in the .ini file?
8) How many records are in your database?
9) If full development, try and connect directly through Progress,
does that work?
10) What is the configuration that you are working with?
(local oid - self-service client, local oid - Local database
server, local oid - Remote Database server, other config?)
10) Is this standard windows or windows NT?
11) Can you start ODBC spylog or SQLLog through ODBC Administrator.
