SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error <n> in <program>, ret <n>, file <n>, addr <n>. (290)
Number after "addr" is nowhere close to 2GB.
FACT(s) (Environment):
File name after "file" points to a sort file (.srt).

CAUSE:
Idxbuild ran out of disk space. This can happen using or not using multi-volume sort files.
FIX:
Make sure you have enough disk space free. Please refer to solution 13568, "How to estimate disk space needed for sorting by idxbuild" for further information.
