FACT(s) (Environment):
Caldera Open UNIX/SCO UnixWare
SYMPTOM(s):
Unable to find server <name> with protocol TCP in file SERVICES or SERVICES file not found in expected location. (5192)
CAUSE:
Chnages to /etc/services file on server running NIS not applied
FIX:
Any amendments to the /etc/services file on a server running NIS have to be
"applied" thus:
cd /var/yp
./make
This will load the /etc/services file into the NIS information system.
