Oracle DataServer on Solaris gives error 49 when connecting to the Oracle Database
SYSTEM ERROR: Memory violation. (49)
Probuilt the _progres executable
Which cc Command shows /usr/ucb/cc for a C compiler
CAUSE:
The C compiler is causing the memory violation. Need to use Sun's native C compiler (SUNWspro) for the DataServer. Look at the following Solution for details:
18323, "C Compiler? on Sun Solaris when Probuilding"
FIX:
Install or point to the Sun's native C compiler, SUNWspro.
