GOAL:
How to start a DB using procontrol ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
FIX:
Go to the Windows Start button and select:
Programs > Progress > ProControl
From ProControl press the START button, and then press the DETAIL button.
This will show the SERVICE DETAILS window.
Click on the INSERT button.
In the INSERT window, fill the following data:
IDENTIFIERS: <DB identification>
AUTOSTART: Click on this checkbox, so the DB will start whenever Windows starts.
PHYSICAL DB-NAME: <Browse and find the desired DB>
STARTUP PARAMETERS: <Set startup parameters like -S, -Mn, -Ma, -n, etc.>
Click on the OK button and then click on the START button in the SERVICE DETAILS window.
