Version 7 DOS protocol/products supported
The main _progres.exe executable provides support for netbios and wind
ows interprocess communication (wipc) networking protocols. WIPC is u
sed by MS-DOS to communicate with PROGRESS for Windows products, such
as the Windows Database Server. A separate module provides access to
remote PROGRESS database servers over SPX and TCP/IP servers.
PROGRESS Module Supported Products
_PRONCS.EXE* SPX, FTP TCP/IP(Version 3.0 or later)
_PROWOL.EXE SPX, Wollongong Pathway Access TCP/IP (Vers. 3.0
or later)
_PROLWP.EXE SPX, Novell Workplace for DOS (Vers. 4.1 or later)
_PRONFS.EXE SPX, SUN PC-NFS TCP/IP (Vers. 5.0 or later)
* This is the default mode. It includes support for SPX and
FTP TCP/IP.
