SYMPTOM(s):
Connecting to a Progress database via ODBC
Using SQL-89
Database Access Mode: Direct
Database Path pointing to a mapped drive on the remote client machine.
There is no server for database dbname.(1423)
CAUSE:
The Database Path in the ODBC DSN does not have to point to a mapped drive on the client machine since this parameter is read by the OIBroker.
It has to point to a local drive on the server where the OIBroker and Database are located.
FIX:
Modifying the Database Path to point to the Database path on the server.
