SYMPTOM(s):
OCX problem with Progress and Actuate.
Using the Viewer and Desktop OCX.
Adding the Viewer or Desktop OCX works fine in version 9.1C of Progress.
Trying to add the Viewer or Desktop OCX in version 8.3E produces the following error:
"CtrlFrame.DeskOCX Unable to create control. Specified ActiveX control is not registered or the .ocx file was moved from where it was registered."
Confirmed that the both the Viewer and Desktop OCX were registered correctly on all machines by writing a Visual Basic application to use both OCX's and by using the sample applications written in Visual Basic provided by Actuate.
These errors are consistant on several machines.
FIX:
Apply the latest patch to version 9.1C and 8.3E.
