SYMPTOM(s):
ProControl fails to start database when running Performance Counters
Shared memory in use by a process other than PROGRESS. (8872)
Multiple database reside on system.
Other database can start correctly.
CAUSE:
Running Windows Performance monitor in the background. The executable mlogsvc.exe does not release resources.
FIX:
Shutdown the Performance monitoring to release the memory.
