Status: Verified
SYMPTOM(s):
9.1D Data Administrator lost the ability to "Edit Data Security".
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Progress 8.3D
Progress 9.1D
OpenEdge Category: Database
CHANGE:
Migrated database and application from 8.3D to 9.1D
CAUSE:
8.3D introduced a security hole which allowed access to "Edit Data Security" with a deployment license (i.e. Client Networking).
FIX:
This was never intended to be a runtime feature. In order to "Edit Data Security" a development license (i.e. ProVision) must be used.
