Use the InstallShield Silent (Batch Mode) Utility
A normal (nonsilent) installation receives the necessary information by prompting and recording your input in each dialog box. By contrast, a silent installation does not prompt you for input. Rather, a silent installation reads user response information from a response file called setup.iss. Silent installation is only supported for Typical and Complete Installations. You cannot use this utility for a Custom Installation.
The InstallShield Silent (ISS) allows you to install Progress in silent or batch mode by recording user input information contained in a response (setup.iss) file
