No. The same rules applicable to a Progress version 8 Client connecting to a Progress version 9 Database Server are valid here in this case. In order to connect to a v9 DB Server or a v9 DataServer Broker, one must use either a version 9 or release 10 client. Preferably, use a version 9 client to connect to a version 9 DataServer Broker.
