Dbagent fails to register with the AdminServer
Cannot start dbagent to remotely monitor database from Fathom
CAUSE:
The dbagent command line and the remote database properties in Fathom are not in sync.
FIX:
The dbagent command line and the remote database properties (ie database path and the database name) kept in Fathom must be in sync.
The command line issued to start the dbagent must exactly match that which is displayed in the control section of the remote database entry in the Fathom Management Console:
Fathom Console -> Resource -> New resource monitor -> Remote database
- the full path to the database is needed when configuring a remote database
- the -H is for the *FATHOM* adminserver, not the -H of the remote server
- fmconfig -query run on the Fathom and the remote servers should show that remote monitoring is enabled.
