Yes, they do. The reason for this is that ADM2 checks the RCODE-INFO of the SmartDataObject before it is run to determine whether the databases the SmartDataObject uses are connected or not. This information is used to decide whether to run the full SmartDataObject or the client side version of the SmartDataObject.
