Stack procedures are different when closing the window than when pressing ESC
ESC key does not fire destroyObject procedure in the contained SmarObjects
FIX:
The procedures fired when the ESC key is pressed in a window is different than when the window is closed and the WINDOW-CLOSE trigger is fired.
