GOAL:
What files are installed in the working directory when a Progress installation is performed?
GOAL:
What is the p4gl.als file?
GOAL:
Is it possible to use source code editor aliases from Progress 9.1B in Progress 9.1D
GOAL:
Is it possible to migrate custom settings for the AppBuilder Editing Options from one Progress release to another
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
FIX:
The file 'p4gl.als' is the default Progress alias file. A copy of this file is placed in the working directory in a subdirectory called proedit during the installation process. If a copy of this file already exists in the working directory, then the file is not overwritten with the later version.
You can copy an earlier 9.1X copy of the p4gl.als from a previous installation working directory\proedit directory if you do not want to use the default one supplied with the newer installation.
