Setting for WIDGET FONT does not affect WIDGET SIZE
If you use a specific font with a particular widget, say, by
setting the FONT attribute of a button to be a proportional font,
you may find at runtime that the text of the button responds to the
new font definition, but that the SIZE of the button has not
changed in accordance with the new font.
This behavior is seen when a SIZE phrase has been used in defining
the widget in question. Anytime a SIZE phrase is used with a widget,
the grid unit used to determine the size is the DEFAULT FONT.
