SYMPTOM(s):
New Installation - Starting the Database from Progress Explorer
Error in startup of database <hostname>:20931:<databasename>. Message:
This broker will terminate when session ends. (5405) (JUNMsg024)
** This process terminated with exit code 1. (8619)
CAUSE:
The working directory is a sub-directory of the installation directory.
No user-defined objects (databases, programs etc) can reside in the Progress installation directory or any of its subdirectories.
FIX:
Reinstall Progress and make sure the working directory is not a sub-directory of the installation directory.
