FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 32 Intel
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
SYMPTOM(s):
The DLC environment variable must contain a valid directory
trying to perform a NetSetup on a client machine
CAUSE:
The DLC was a directory within the root directory of the server, when the share was created to the DLC and mapped to the clients for NetSetup, then the DLC was being set to <drive-letter>: without a backslash at the end.
FIX:
Install Progress on the server so the DLC directory is a subdirectory, therefore when being mapped, the DLC contents are not in the root of the map, but another directory exists for the DLC directory.
