SYMPTOM(s):
Can not connect to oracle from oracle dataserver
error below is displayed in the dataserv.lg file
Unable to load shared library.
Oracle 8i
PATH environment variable does not include %ORACLE_HOME%\bin
CAUSE:
For 32 bit Oracle 8i, Oracle OCI shared library that dataserver loads is a ".dll" file to be found in %ORACLE_HOME%\bin
FIX:
Change PATH environment variable so that it includes %ORACLE_HOME%\bin
