SYMPTOM(s):
When attempting to launch a character program from AppBuilder (structured procedure), the AppBuilder acts as though procedure is running but the character window is not visible, nor does it appear in application control bar
Progress has been uninstalled and reinstalled without error
CHANGE:
Computer was upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows XP without reformatting hard drive
CAUSE:
The directory which Progress was installed into had a long directory name
FIX:
Reinstall Progress into a directory that has a shorter name
