Report Builder support for dataservers , CISAM - error 1461
The following are databases that have been tested with Report Builder
version 7.3B:
1. Oracle 7 (Progress Networking and Sql*Net)
2. Sybase 4 and Sybase 10 (No support for Netlib)
3. DB2/400 (limited support)
7.3B Report Builder has _NOT_ been tested against CISAM dataserver.
The errors received are:
Unable to connect to database.
This module does not support database type CISAM (1416)
Workaround:
1. Make a backup copy of $DLC\bin\RBENG00.DLL
2. copy $DLC\bin\RBENG0A.DLL to $DLC\bin\RBENG00.DLL
V8 Report Builder does not require the RBENG0A.DLL file.
NOTE: There has not been extensive testing with Report Builder
and the CISAM dataserver, therefore it is not a fully supported
configuration.
