SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot install Progress, warning to shutdown active running processes to continue installation.
Previous Progress install had to be removed manually.
CAUSE:
The following keys had had entrees that activated .dlls files for Progress:.
regedt32:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ProService9.1C
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\ProService9.1C
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ProService9.1C
FIX:
Remove the Progress ProService keys from the following locations:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ProService9.1C
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\ProService9.1C
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ProService9.1C
