SYMPTOM(s):
AppServer does not start after the reboot of machine
AppServer does not start after machine has been rebooted
ERROR: cannot start server. (8100)
IOException reading message from server : <IOException_string> (8117)
IOException reading message from server : pipe to server broken (8117)
AppServer connects to a database during the startup
AppServer set to auto start
Database is being started by ProControl
CAUSE:
AdminService (managing the AppServer) has started prior to ProService (managing the ProControl and database) starting. Since database is not up and running yet, startup of the AppServer will fail.
FIX:
Ensure that ProControl (thus database) starts before the AdminServer. Make appserver manual start.
