Status: Verified
SYMPTOM(s):
The -yy parameter is ignored
Dumped and loaded the database
Start a client session with a -yy different than the default of 1950
display SESSION:YEAR-OFFSET outputs 1950 in the Procedure Editor
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress 8.x
Progress 9.x
CHANGE:
Migrated from Progress 8.3B to Progress 9.1C with a dump and load
CAUSE:
Although a -yy (Century Year Offset) can be specified with a client session to be different than the default of 1950, it will not work if the database was dumped and loaded with the default of 1950.
FIX:
Dump and load the data again from Progress 8.3x and set -yy to your desired value on the command line for the dump and load. See the Database Administration Guide for the various dump and load methods: Progress Database Administration Guide and Reference, Dumping and Loading http://www.progress.com/support
When you dump or load any database, the -yy setting you load with must match the -yy setting that was used for dumping, unless you use the Four Digit Year Default (-yr4def) startup parameter for dumping.
