Important, Do Not Request Problem VBX's From Customers
This is just a quick note to anyone taking a call concerning any kind
of problem with a VBX.
*NEVER* ask the customer to send us the VBX they are having a problem
with. If they want to send it to us, *TELL THEM NO*.
However, we do need you to get the following info so that we can
purchase the VBX ourselves:
- Complete name of the VBX (including version number)
- Complete manufacturer name
- Telephone number where manufacturer can be reached
The reason for this is that we legally cannot accept any customer
licensed software, even for testing purposes. We (Progress) must
purchase our own copy of the software in question.
