TCP Clients and Servers Hanging with Alpha OpenVMS 6.1
When running PROGRESS TCP/IP Client/Server applications
against Alpha OpenVMS 6.1, the Operating System will prevent
any more than approximately 23 clients to login into a
single REMOTE TCP Server. The effects of this OS bug, are
both SERVER and CLIENT Hanging. This bug, with the DEC C
Runtime Library, can be solved by obtaining patch
AXPACRT04_061 for Alpha systems and patch VAXACRTL02_061 for
VAX systems from Digital Equipment. Alternatively, the
solution is included in the latest Operating System Release,
6.2 OpenVMS.
