SYMPTOM(s):
Progress session takes a long time to start when using ini file
Progress session starts fast when using the registry
Using the ini file Progress session starts very slowly
Environment used: 105 Citrix servers hosting between 20 to 30 Progress Clients;
altogether more than 2000 clients.
CAUSE:
Network congestion due to the use of ini file stored on the file server.
FIX:
Copy and use the ini file on the local disk instead from the file server.
