SYMPTOM(s):
Progress session doesn't start using the shortcut that has been copied
Progress installed on the PC with tight security
Shortcut used is created by copying another Progress shortcut.
Changing the shortcut's working directory affects the successful startup.
CAUSE:
Known issue when copying shortcuts on MS Win32 operating
system on PC with tight security.
Limited access for user account who tries to execute the link
because of security settings of the shortcut
for the working directory specified in the shortcut.
FIX:
Instead of copying existing shortcut create a new one:
Right-mouse click -> New -> Shortcut where you should enter
location of the Progress executable (prowin32.exe), startup parameters
and working directory having adequate permissions.
