No MOTIF - like mouse support for character mode
If you are wondering if MOTIF-like mouse support is
available for character-mode UNIX PROGRESS, it is not.
Marketing desires to make PROGRESS V7 fully compliant
with the environments on which the software was run.
This feature is not one that Marketing feels will be
added to the product; no plans exist at this time to
address it.
It is already possible to run V6 character-based
applications within MOTIF terminal emulation windows
on V7. This is possible by using the TTY executable
in V7, which is intended to allow such backward
compatibility with V6.
Version 6 for UNIX and DOS included some mouse-support
capabilities. Since Version 7 now includes true mouse
support on the MS-Windows and MOTIF versions, the mouse
capabilities in Version 6 are no longer supported.
