Currently Fathom is not intended to be used to maintain database startup parameters and configuration.
If you monitor and control the startup and shutdown of a database with Fathom, you must change the properties of the database within the conmgr.properties file with the Progress Explorer tool. These are classed as managed databases, Fathom reads this information and uses it when starting the database. Therefore creating a second broker for a managed database with Progress Explorer, will allow both brokers to be started via fathom, with no changes needed within Fathom.
The configuration of the database to create a secondary broker
1. Connect to the Progress Explorer
2. Expand the database tree
3. Under DefaultServerConfiguration, there is the defaultServerGroup, if you right click on defaultConfiguration, you can then create a new ServerGroup.
