GOAL:

How to Create a New Version of a Deleted Object - Roundtable

FACT(s) (Environment):

Roundtable

FIX:

Roundtable permanently stores all completed (checked-in) versions of objects in the repository. When an object is deleted from a workspace it can be easily added back and a new version created.

The repository features of the Roundtable system are handled automatically and so, often forgotten. This will describe how to pull a deleted object out of the repository and create a new version.

The difference in creating a new object and pulling one out of the repository is Assign. Use the Assign option to pull objects out of the repository and use New Object to create new objects.

1. Select the FILE|ASSIGN or Ver|Assign menu.

2. Enter the object name.

3. Browse the version and select the highest version.

4. Roundtable will populate the workspace with that version of the object.

5. Now that the source code is available, compile if it is compilable.

6. Select a valid task and create a new version of the object.

7. Proceed as normal.
