Increasing bithreshold on AIX fails after BI file threshold size has been reached.
BI File Threshold size of <num> has been reached. (6558)
proquiet bithreshold doesn't cause forward processing to restart
CAUSE:
Bug# 19980817-018. This issue was specific to 8.3A and AIX.
FIX:
Upgrade to a v8 later than 8.3A.
The workaround is to do the force shutdown which will leave the db in a recoverable state. This is valid as long as there is disk space equal to twice the bi file size and the bi is under 1GB in size.
