How to add a field to an existing table - Roundtable Theory

INTRODUCTION:

Roundtable separates the addition of a field object from the
assignment of that object to a file/table.
WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
===========================
A new field object has been created but does not appear on the table
or the Updae Schema process.
PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
Here are the proper steps to add a field object and assign it to a
table.
1) Select a WIP task.
2) Add a new PFIELD object with all of the appropriate field
attributes
3) Version/Check-out the Table/File that needs the new field object
4) Modify the File-Field list/browse to contain the new field object
5) Run the Update Schema process to apply the new field to the
Progress database.
