Unable to start database with remote ai extent
Cannot find or open file test.lk, errno - 5. (43)
Ai file for database on remote Windows 2000 machine
Using ProControl to manage databases and remote ai file
Environment variables set (Access=all, DLC install path)
Using UNC mapping convention
ProControl run by user account with admin privileges
ProControl functions without error if ai file moved to database system
CHANGE:
Moved from Windows NT to Windows 2000
CAUSE:
Windows 2000 requires domain\user for access to remote system by a service
FIX:
To resolve the problem, follow these steps:
1. Establish user with admininstrative rights on both systems (database and remote ai system).
2. Start Proservice with domain name\username that was created in step 1.
