How Roundtable manages workspaces on a peer network

DRAFT COPY - Currently under review and edit.

INTRODUCTION:
=============
Roundtable can manage workspaces on different machines on a peer
network.

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
===========================
When setting up new workspaces on a distributed network, the drive
letters each machine uses for another can be inconsistant. Roundtable
allows you to map these complexities using Network mapping.

PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
1) To enable network mapping turn on the network mapping flag in
System parameters.
2) Each Roundtable user must define the machine name in the RTBSETUP
file found in the Roundtable startup directory. The machine name
must be unique.
3) Build the network map by adding entries in the Workspace drive
assign table. For each machine, and each workspace, define the
drive letter associated with that workspace. When this is done
Roudtable will prepred the workspace path with the drive letter
automatically.
4) Build the task map, using the Task drive assign. This is usefull
when more than one programmer share a task with a Task share
status. The drive letter will automatically be assigned when the
the task is selected.

Once network mapping has been turned on all workspaces must be defined
for access. If a workspace is selected that does not have a
workspace drive assign, the workspace information will be available
read-only and no versioning of compiling will be possible.
