SYMPTOM(s):
Installation problems with missing shlwapi.dll (see kbase 34803)
After that ** Could not connect to server for database <DATABASE>, errno 0. (1432) when starting procontrol.
Another Progress version is on the machine
logfile shows strange errors
CHANGE:
db converted from v. 8 to v.9
CHANGE:
shlwapi.dll copied to the machine after installation of Progress v.9
CAUSE:
Progress was pointing to another version. The installation failure additionally led to Proservice failure.
FIX:
Set the DLC and the PROMSGS variables. Reboot the machine.
