Instructions for logging in to V7 software in Bedford

Login to a machine on the development network such as guam or
midway.
Type: rdl 70d windows ade to set your environment.
Next, (only the first time you do this) you type:
prodb adedb $DLC/adedb/ade
Make sure you have set an environment variable called DISPLAY.
Its format is:
DISPLAY=machine:0;export DISPLAY
for example, if your are running on a machine called tssun3-25,
set DISPLAY equal to tssun3-25:0)
To access the V7 Application Development Environment (ADE) you type:
proade adedb
You should now get a window containing the ADE Icons.
Refer the the 7.0D doc for more info about each component.
NOTE: Before your remote login to another machine, you must
type 'xhost machine', e.g., xhost guam, so that your X-Windows
will work properly with V7.
