Bug# 20010525-007
CAUSE:
The NameServer is inundated with continous CGIIP process requests. When this occurs, the java layer receives an exception from the UDP protocol, causing JAVA TCP saturation.
Failure is specific to these platforms:
- Linux RedHat 6.2 - JDK 1.1.8
- UnixWare 7.1.1 - JDK 1.1.8
- Windows 2000 - JDK 1.2.2_007
FIX:
Install Progress 9.1B NameServer on unaffected platforms;
These platforms are not affected:
- Solaris 5.7 - JDK 1.1.7
- Windows NT 4.0 - JDK 1.1.8
- HP-UX 32 bit - JDK 1.1.7
