System Error: unable to stat file
If you get the error "unable to stat file," possible causes are:
1)You have a symbolic link to a file that has been removed.
2)The file has incorrect permissions for the operation you are
attempting to perform.
3)You have duplicate entries in the graph file for frecover(1M).
4)Your system has multiple links to a database that users can access
and the users still have the database manager running on the
system.
Relative to 2)...permissions... ,this can also occur if the user is
not root, or does not have root privileges, since only root can mount
devices.
NOTE: Source for 1-4 above is HP Error Message Catalog. Therefore
some of these may be specific to HP.
