GOAL:
What UNIX platforms do not have SQL-92 capabilities?
GOAL:
What UNIX platforms do not contain the SQL-92 engine?
GOAL:
Is JDBC available on either DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, or Sun Solaris Intel?
GOAL:
IS SQL-92 ODBC available on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, or Sun Solaris Intel?
GOAL:
Is SQL-92 ESQL/C available on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, or Sun Solaris Intel?
GOAL:
Can my SQL-89 ODBC client connect to server on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, or Sun Solaris Intel?
GOAL:
On what platforms is the SQL-92 engine NOT supported on?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress 9.x
FIX:
In Progress 9.x no SQL-92 RDBMS exists on the following platforms; DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, and Sun Solaris Intel therefore:
There is no support for any SQL-92 functionality on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, and Sun Solaris Intel.
There is no SQL-92 RDBMS (server) on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, and Sun Solaris Intel.
There is no SQL-92 clients (JDBC, ODBC, SQL/C) on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, and Sun Solaris Intel.
SQL-89 access is available on platforms for which SQL-92 is not supported and ODBC connections can be established using SQL-89. Any SQL-89 ODBC client can connect to a 4GL server running on DG/UX Intel, SCO OpenServer, and Sun Solaris Spark. In order to access a Progress 9.x
Database via a SQL-89 client, use the MERANT 3.50, 3.60, or 3.70 32-bit Progress ODBC Driver (SQL-89 Driver) and follow solution 17204.
