SYMPTOM(s):
NameServer fails to start.
Unable to find NS1 (8281)
netstat -a |grep 5162 does not show the default NameServer port in use.
NS1.ns.log file is not created
more $WRKDIR/admserv.log |grep NameServer
* NameServerPlugin not installed: Plugin not licensed. (ADMMsg037) (7439)
* Failed to install plugin NameServerPlugin. (7433)
Run Showcfg to list progress licenses installed.
Enterprise Database and 4GL development is installed.
CHANGE:
Installed WebSpeed Transaction Server.
CAUSE:
Installed WebSpeed Transaction Server into a separate directory from the main installation. Environment variables were pointing to wrong installation.
FIX:
Two ways to get around this.
1. Install WebSpeed Transaction Server into the existing 9.1D installation.
Or
2. Change environment variable ($DLC) to point to installation directory for WebSpeed Transaction Server and export DLC. Also append the $DLC/bin to the PATH environment variable and export the PATH
