SYMPTOM(s):
Databases are not showing up in the Progress Explorer Tool.
Databases are listed in the conmgr.properties file.
Cannot add a database through Progress Explorer, getting JAVA errors.

CAUSE:
The Progress Explorer tool cannot read or write to a corrupt conmgr.properties file.
FIX:
Take the current conmgr.properties file and rename it conmgr.properties_old
Create a new conmgr.properties file from conmgr.properties-sav file. You can now add the database entries through Progress Explorer. Print out the conmgr.properties_old file to get the original startup parameters.
It is a good idea to regularly backup the conmgr.properties file.
