SYMPTOM(s):

The OUTPUT THROUGH statement does not work in Windows 95 or Windows 98.

CAUSE:

The OUTPUT THROUGH statement pipes data from Progress to another process.

Named Pipes in Progress are not supported on the Windows 95 or Windows 98 platforms. Named Pipes are supported on UNIX and Windows NT/2000/XP.

FIX:

Depending on the goal, where possible try to use the OUTPUT TO or OS-COMMAND statements instead.
