proserve command returns SE: Illegal system call error 297
BUG 95-06-29-063 Media ID: 02
When running the proserve script, or the _mprosrv module, produces the
following error,
SYSTEM ERROR: Illegal system call. (297)
** The server terminated due to signal <number>. (801)
be sure to check that TCP/IP is installed on the machine. This error
was seen on Sequent PTX 2.1 running version 7.3A. The absence of
TCP/IP caused the dynamic call to gethostbyname() to fail. The
reason we make this call is that we need to include the hostname in
the .lk file created. This bug needs to be fixed in a future patch
release on this platform.
