FACT(s) (Environment):
WebSpeed 3.x
SYMPTOM(s):
Can not start name server
Error 8297 in cmdplugin.log
Unable to start <service name> (8297)
Unable to start <NS1> (8297)
No errors in the AdminServer log file.
No errors in NameServer log file.
NSConfig reports no problem.
CAUSE:
The port being used for communication with the NameServer is being redirected through a Firewall machine using Secure Shell.
FIX:
Firewall problem. Opening the correct ports in the Firewall for communication with the NameServer.
