GOAL:
Points to note when deploying multiple Progress versions on the same Windows client
FIX:
If, for instance, you require Progress version 8.3E and 9.1D to be run on the same Windows client, ensure:
1. each Progress version is supported on that operating system
2. each version has a separate installation directory
3. environment variables shouldn't be set globally under the Control Panel. At installation time Progress will set up the required entries in the registry, such that when each Progress version is later run, the environment information relevant to each version will be found. The environment information doesn't have to be set explicitly, assuming that that no Progress environment variables have been set up globally.
