SYMPTOM(s):
Appserver will not start
Appserver status says starting but does not fully start
Appserver never registers with NameServer
NameServer starts and stays running
Appserver stays in starting state until process terminated
Validation of ubroker.properties file with asconfig utility
Java 1.3.1 on system and Java_env pointing to the java install directory.
CHANGE:
New install on UNIX system
CAUSE:
Aborted install of Progress patch changed size and date on some files, including _proapsv executable.
FIX:
Remove original installation and perform complete re-install on UNIX server.
