SYMPTOM(s):
Windows character client checkmark is displayed incorrectly.
The checkmark used in selection lists and other widgets is not displayed correctly.
CAUSE:
Codepage mismatch between Progress client and OS settings.
FIX:
Make sure the -cpterm parameter used on the client (or -cpstream if -cpterm is not used) matches the settings of the OS.
Alternatively, set the checkmark to a standard-ASCII value such as the greater-than sign (">") by setting the SysCheckmark setting in the Progress environment (INI file or registry) to a value below 128 (62 for ">").
These characters are the standard ASCII characters and are the same in all ASCII-compliant codepages.
